Renaissance Block Grant Program

From 2020 through 2024, Impact Corry has invested over $430,000 in grant funding in improvement projects benefiting just over 100 residential properties in the City of Corry. Because the program requires homeowner match, the total investment in these properties is well over $900,000.


2025 Grant Cycle Open - Applications being accepted

Impact Corry is presently accepting new applications for the Renaissance Block Grant Program. It is a 1:1 matching grant program that makes funds available to improve the functionality and curb appeal of residential homes. Homeowners and landlords may receive up to $5,000 per property for eligible exterior repairs. Homeowners meeting income requirements may qualify for up to $9,000 per property for eligible projects. See Income Guidelines for additional information. The program is a reimbursement grant program; projects must be completed with project costs paid before funds will be issued to grantees.

The goals of the program are to:

  • Remove housing blight and reverse deterioration;

  • Incentivize and spur private investment;

  • Make neighborhoods and communities more walkable, safe, and attractive;

  • Increase the market value of homes; and

  • Improve the municipal tax base.

Eligible uses of funding include the following improvement project types visible from the street:

  • Doors and windows

  • Soffits, gutters, and downspouts

  • Exterior lighting

  • Porches, stairs, and steps

  • Painting, siding, and shutters

  • Chimney and masonry repair
