Join us June 20, 2026 for the local celebration of National Trails Day!

The Erie to Pittsburgh Trail Alliance in partnership with Impact Corry and the Friends of the Corry Junction Greenway Trail annually host a National Trails Day celebration in late spring/early summer. The event is about celebrating trails, giving back, and finding community in the outdoors.

The day-long event typically includes an early morning ride led by Bike Erie, a two-mile slow roll, guided informational walks, a bike rodeo hosted by Rolling 2 You Mobile Repair, family-friendly games and raffles, wagon rides on the trail, and more. The free event is open to all.

All activities take place at the outdoor pavilion on the grounds of the Elmer C. Carrier American Legion Post 365, 1460 Sciota Rd, Corry, PA 16407.

Since 1993, the first Saturday of every June is known as National Trails Day, inspiring the public and trail enthusiasts nationwide to celebrate, discover, and learn about America's trail system. The local celebration of the day focuses on the Corry Junction Greenway Trail, a 6-mile limestone and natural surface trail that reuses an old rail corridor and connects Corry to the larger, regional Erie to Pittsburgh Trail network.

Corry has a long-term goal of becoming known as a trail town and a bikeable, walkable community as part of its strategy for retaining and attracting residents and re-energizing its economy. The Corry Junction Greenway Trail also serves as a vital trail artery with which Corry is encouraging development of a greater network of smaller trails, or spurs, improving residents’ access to quality outdoor recreation opportunities.
